Tokyo Bay • Serigraph

Commissioned to celebrate the "50th Anniversary of Tokyo Bay" after the end of WW II, it was an incredible honor for an American female artist to be asked to create this painting, which was released with great fanfare including national television and press coverage.

Depicting many famous landmarks, including the Imperial Palace, the Ginza District, Asakusa, Tokyo Tower, Shinjuku, the Meiji Shrine and Mt. Fuji, a private helicopter was chartered for Jan so she could photograph Tokyo from above as part of her meticulous research of the city.

Jan has completed four major solo Art Tours of Japan, and has a great love for the country and its people.

This limited edition serigraph, created from the original painting, has been meticulously hand silk-screened on heavy Arches 100% rag paper, individually numbered and hand signed by the artist.
